Getting ready to head out to dinner and happy hour tonight and we wanted to snap some pics before leaving so we went out to our balcony and got some great pics with the beautiful gulf in the background!

Sea Turtles...  

After a couple of days in the sun we decided that today we would just take a break from the beach and headed to the sea turtle preserve.  Kale LOVES turtles so he was really excited and so were the rest of us.  

The preserve on SPI helps any and all turtles so they had some that were ill with turtle herpes (don't ask), some that had been attacked by sharks and required special prosthetic "limbs" to help them swim and even TINY little baby turtles (if they wouldn't grow to be 400lb monster turtles I would have smuggled one out!).  

It was really a cool place to visit...

As it turned out some of our friends, the Rico's, were in SPI during this week also.  Their daughter, Jesslene, and Casey are BFF's and always LOVE to play together.  Of course we had to capture a photo of them together for the future yearbook...

Having lived in Texas more in my life then anywhere else (1994-1997 and 2002-now) it still amazes me that we have NEVER taken advantage of the Texas coast before.  We now know we will be yearly vacationers in South Padre Island! 

This morning we loaded up both Vehicles and hit the road for a nice 5 hour drive to SPI!

Within an hour of being at the house Kale had found the girls dress up shoes and was loving the sound they make up and down the hallway.  If I didn't think Christopher would cry I'd buy him his very own set...

Today my first born turns 6!  WOW!

I don't really remember life before Sydney and to be honest don't feel like my life truly started until she entered my life. 

Sydney you make my heart smile and constantly amaze me with your beauty and intelligence.  

What the future holds is yet to be revealed but I know that you will succeed in whatever it is!!

Turning 6 at Sea World...

This year we gave Sydney the choice to have a birthday party or to go to Sea World for her 6th Birthday.  I was SO excited when she picked Sea World - I knew that she would love it and it didn't disappoint!

A very full day! I think we fit in everything we possibly could and the kids had a great time.  Next time I think we might have to ride more rides (Peyton's favorite part)!!!

Splash Park

This spring we joined the YMCA - for multiple reasons but one of the main one was the splash park!  We knew the kids would love it and were SO excited when it FINALLY opened yesterday.  So after spin class this morning we loaded the kids up with sunscreen and then headed over to the Y for a little fun!!
