Turning 30 - AGAIN!!!

Okay so I'm 31 this year - I'd much rather say I'm 30. Who knows the difference?
Either way I have SO much to reflect on over this past year and I must say I am a very very fortunate woman.
I love deeply and am loved deeply, I laugh often, I'm healthy as is my family, and I want/need nothing in this world!
I must say that if this is what 31 feels like then I am looking forward to my 31st year and hope they just keep getting better!!!
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes, gifts and thoughts.

Today my first born turns 6! WOW!
I don't really remember life before Sydney and to be honest don't feel like my life truly started until she entered my life.
Sydney you make my heart smile and constantly amaze me with your beauty and intelligence.
What the future holds is yet to be revealed but I know that you will succeed in whatever it is!!

Yes today I turn 30 and I am not afraid to admit I am not happy about that.
I must admit that my twenties were exceptionally kind to me:
I married my soulmate, we moved to Texas, we bought a house, got a dog, had a beautiful daughter, got out of the Air Force, got civilian jobs, had another beautiful daughter, bought river property, sold a house, bought another house and sold river property - you know among other little but still important things.
I can no longer blame my little mistakes or my VERY rare, yes I said rare - just go with it, tantrums on being a "baby". Is it officially time for me to grow up?
The other day Sydney asked me how old I'd be on my birthday and I told her 30. She oh so kindly told me that was old but at least I'm not going to be 100.
I hadn't looked at it from that perspective but she's right. In the overall scheme of things I'm still young and I have SO much more life to live! I don't know what my 30's hold for me BUT I do know that I am embarking on this journey with my husband and our children and that makes it slightly less scary.
We'll see what happens...

Sydney handmade Daniel a card this year and I was so proud of her for putting so much effort into it that I wanted to share what it looked like...
This is the front...
She did it all by herself and then brought it to me to show me that it looked like a REAL card. She included our address (978) and even hand drew the stamp in the corner. She insisted that I tell Daniel that I really did get it in the mail.
But as cute as that may be this is my favorite part...
She showed this to me and said "Mom I think this should be you instead of me." Of course I said why and she responded with "I think the boobs are to big for it to be me."
I told her that this picture shows someone with way to much of a tan for it to be me and she agreed and decided it was best if it was her - big boobs and all.
She makes me laugh...

This weekend was JAM packed!! Saturday we awoke bright and early and had Dawn
do our family photo's! They turned out great and can't thank Dawn enough!
Then it was time for Sydney's "kid" party at an Art Studio! About 14 kids showed up and they had a BLAST!!!
That night we went to dinner at Chuy's and chowed on some yummy Mexican food and Sydney got some birthday Soapapillas - SOOO GOOOD!!!!
Sunday it all started with gifts and chocolate chip pancakes! Then we had all the neighbors over and had TONS of pizza, more cake a pinata and MORE presents!!!
Overall it was a GREAT weekend and we are so thankful we got to celebrate Sydney's 5th with all her friends and ours! Thanks to everyone!

That exactly two years ago at 6:01 pm Casey Morgan Cobb joined our family. It truly doesn't seem possible!! But it is true - here she is a few hours after birth...
And a recent photo of her...
Today we had a low-key family day to celebrate our little girl. After a Skype session with Grandma, Grandpa, Christopher, Alisia and Kale Bug wishing our baby a Happy Birthday we took her to Toys R Us to get her gift. We were a little lost because she has everything and only wants Elmo (which wasn't going to happen). We settled on a pink wagon filled with blocks and an outdoor picnic table - both items were a big hit and both girls have played with them all day! I made Casey some Elmo cupcakes which she loved. Then we had her "favorite" dinner tacos with Avocado - which may be her favorite thing- you know besides everything else in the pantry!!
So excited and still "wearing" half her dinner!
It was a great way to celebrate the most amazing two year old I have ever met!!

Today we spent our day just relaxing with plans to hit up the casino one more time before we go home - you know to try and recoup some of the money I lost - This time Daniel won it I lost it!! We had a great homemade dinner courtesy of Alisia and then celebrated Casey birthday a couple of days early!!

We had an amazing vacation that would not have been half as great if we didn't get to spend it with our family!! Thanks so much Alisia, Christopher and Kale for letting us invade - we felt like we were at home in your beautiful home!! Also thanks so much to you mom and dad - you guys always make everything special!! WE LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!

Today we were up soo early but for a good reason - Sunny Las Vegas was calling our name!!! After a couple of flights we were there by mid-morning - just in time to celebrate Christopher's birthday and have a great dinner at a casino and the best birthday BUNDT cake ever!!

Last weekend we helped Adelaide celebrate her 4th birthday - Fairy Style!!! It was a blast for all of us - even me!! Dawn out did herself putting this party together - face painting, princess tattoo's, a jumpy castle inflated for all the Princess', they all decorated their own magic wands, food to fill us so very full, gorgeous fairy wings, a fairy/butterfly hunt and yummy cotton candy! Needless to say after getting home BOTH kids passed out - what a great treat for mommy!!!

Today Sydney and Casey went to a birthday party for Sarah Beth - one of Sydney's classmates! They had a great time playing in the Princess jumpy castle and eating everything they could find. What kind of mom would I be if I didn't let them enjoy a birthday party to the fullest extent - even if it means a sugar induced coma??? Sydney was so excited about the party she picked out the gift all by herself, helped me wrap it and also helped make the card. Luckily the sugar rush didn't last long and both girls took naps after coming home so I could have a little time to unwind. Now all Sydney wants to discuss is her party - in JULY!!!
