WAKE UP!!!

Monday, March 29, 2010

My kids are morning people - like really EARLY morning people!  Some mornings they will sleep until 7 (that's a treat) but one morning this past weekend they were up well before and I just couldn't get up.
So after a few failed attempts Sydney thought this was her best bet...

Translated Note:
please get up and please get our breakfast.

Needless to say I felt horrible and got right up.
I need to figure out what is going to keep these kids in bed a little longer so I don't have to start out my morning full of guilt.

The day after we got home from Utah this is what is going on in my backyard!
No snow around here - Spring has made it's way into South Texas!

Park City...

Thursday, March 18, 2010

If I could pick any place to have a vacation home the place at the very top of my list is Park City!  It really is a wonderful place to go visit and we make sure to hit it up every time we visit Utah.
The weather for our visit today was perfect - just right temps and there was still snow on the ground for the kids to see.  We walked up and down Main Street and then headed over to the outlets and did some shopping.

Sydney and Mom playing in the snow and a look down a crowded Main Street...

Another view of Main St. and a sign from one of the venue's that hosted the 2002 Winter games.
Christopher's downhill pose and my FAVORITE barn surrounded by snow!

This is a picture from the car on our way home from Park City - guess we left at just before the blizzard hit!

Discovery Museum...

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Today we took the kids downtown Salt Lake City to the Discovery Museum.  I had been told by numerous people that it was a GREAT place to take the kids and it didn't disappoint.  They loved it and to be honest I think the adults had just as much fun the kids did!

Sydney and Casey playing "farm".

Couldn't resist taking a picture of this sweet little guy!!!

Kale playing house and Casey making her own comic strip.

Uncle Chris and Sydney turning gears and then a trip up the rockwall.

Uncle Chris showing Sydney how it's done and Kale taking a little drive.

Relaxing Day!!

Monday, March 15, 2010

Today we just decided to take it easy!  Alisia and I stole away for a little shopping which was great - I love spending time with my favorite sister!!
When we got home it was so GORGEOUS outside and the kids wanted outside so bad so we turned them loose.  Unfortunately for us that meant more work cleaning them up afterwards!

As you can see they had a blast!!

Disney On Ice...

Sunday, March 14, 2010

About a week ago I was looking to see if there was anything like this coming to San Antonio and found that it would be there the week we were in Utah - STINK!!  But I also saw that it was in Utah this week and promptly called mom to tell her to get tickets!!!  The girls were beyond excited.  Casey kept singing "Dadada on Ice" all afternoon.
Mom and Dad got GREAT seats - 2 rows back from the ice - and the kids were SO good throughout the whole show!
They were so excited to see Minnie, Mikey, Cars, Little Mermaid, Lion King and Tinkerbell.
