Letters To Santa

Monday, November 30, 2009

Last year I saw this GENUIS idea at Hallmark and had to snag it.  I couldn't wait to break it out this year and see how it would go over with the girls.  Luckily they LOVED it!
So yesterday morning the girls "wrote" their letters to Santa...
I was so proud of Sydney because she knew a lot of the words by herself (love, was, so, good, like and she knew how to partially spell Christmas because she said it is "kind of" my name).
What a ham...
I don't know what Casey wants for Xmas and luckily it appears she doesn't either so I'm safe!!

Then they were put into envelopes and sealed up...

Then last night we placed the mailbox outside with the candy cane up so Santa would know he had letters waiting.  First thing this morning Sydney tore out the front door and her eyes lit up when she saw that the candy cane had been lowered.
So she flipped the lid open to discover...

Her favorite Candy Canes inside.
Yes these are straight out of bed pics - Nice huh?

and she is so relieved that Santa now has her list and Casey could care less about the letter she just wanted that candy cane.

Thanksgiving part 2...

Thursday, November 26, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sydney made this in school and I couldn't have said it better!

Once again the year has flown by. This year like all that have passed I have SO many things to be Thankful for! Here are some pictures from the last year that can better explain why I am so very Thankful!!

My Wonderful little girls - Sydney and Casey!
The light of my life!
Peyton - who is growing into an amazing young lady!
We love her and can't wait to see what her future holds!
The most AMAZING husband ever!
My Parents. I could not be luckier and neither could my children.
They are so blessed to have you as their grandparents!
Kale - The sweetest little boy! I couldn't love another little man more!
My little brother and his amazing and beautiful wife.
Although I do think Christopher deserves the best,
he is blessed to have a woman like Alisia in his life.
So glad she is a part of our family!

GREAT FRIENDS -
Dawn and Andrea have added a whole new depth to my life that I haven't always had!

Rosco - who at times drives me absolutely insane but I couldn't imagine our lives without him!
At the end of the day I am just THANKFUL in general. I have encountered many stories this year where the people have lost so much (children, spouses, jobs, their homes and countless other things I normally would take for granted!).
This year I reflect on these stories and it makes me so much more grateful!
I am so thankful to have love in my life, laughter in our home and health in our hearts!!

Casey wanted to pass on a message for the upcoming holiday season!!! Enjoy...

That is "HO HO HO Merry Christmas" in case you couldn't tell!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Part 1...

Thought this was pretty funny!

Kids Rock

Saturday, November 14, 2009

In conjunction with the Rock N' Roll marathon they have a marathon for kids the day before and that was this morning.  Thankfully Andrea reminded us a few weeks back and we got Sydney all set up to do the Kids Rock run which was just a 1/2 mile for kindergartners.  She was very nervous because her little competitor within wanted to finish first so she would get a medal.  We assured her over and over that as long as she tried her hardest and didn't give up she'd get a really cool medal - and she did just that!!!

I was pushing Casey in the stroller and walking/running to get to the finish so I could get pictures and I turned to look back and I can see her and Daniel weaving in and out of the other kids.  Daniel made sure to go at her pace but he said she was blasting past all the other kids! She did SO great - We were SO proud of her.
Here are some pictures from the race...

Ready to go...
This was the Kindergarten start line - The other grades went a full mile.
Daniel and Sydney waiting for the start.
Approaching the finish line...
My little runner... She is so proud of her medal!

Happy Veterans Day!

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Sydney made this flag in Honor of the Veterans in our family
Dad (retired), Mom, Daniel, Me, Aunt Alisia and Uncle Christopher (still serving).

Happy Veterans Day to everyone that is currently serving or has served our great country!
What is done everyday to defend our freedoms does not go unnoticed and in the Cobb/Casey family we appreciate it deeply!

Card...

Monday, November 9, 2009

Sydney handmade Daniel a card this year and I was so proud of her for putting so much effort into it that I wanted to share what it looked like...

This is the front...

She did it all by herself and then brought it to me to show me that it looked like a REAL card.  She included our address (978) and even hand drew the stamp in the corner.  She insisted that I tell Daniel that I really did get it in the mail.

But as cute as that may be this is my favorite part...

She showed this to me and said "Mom I think this should be you instead of me."  Of course I said why and she responded with "I think the boobs are to big for it to be me."

I told her that this picture shows someone with way to much of a tan for it to be me and she agreed  and decided it was best if it was her - big boobs and all.

She makes me laugh...

(Sorry about the picture being sideways I got tired of messing with it)

Cold...

Sunday, November 8, 2009

I always thought that dogs just didn't really get that cold but this morning Rosco schooled me.
I don't turn the heat on in the house unless it is going to be REALLY cold outside so when we woke up this morning it was around 68 or 69 degrees in the house.  We were all comfy but upon our morning search for Rosco this is what I found...

He buried himself underneath his bed in our room and wasn't very happy about coming out...
This is his best ticked off look...

The Big 3-0

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Today the Man of my dreams turned 30.
I have been fortunate enough to celebrate his last 10 birthdays with him and am looking forward to AT LEAST 50 more!
I love you Daniel - I couldn't have asked for a better man to consume my heart and to be a daddy to our amazing little girls!

Oh and you are OLD now - Just thought you'd like to know that!
