Aliante Station...

There is a new casino that is pretty close to Christopher's house called Aliante Station and Alisia had the best idea - get a room and the next day we could use the pool...
We all decided that Grandma and Grandpa should stay and they wanted to bring Sydney - of course I wouldn't argue with that so off they went!  Today we swam around in the nice warm heated pool for awhile then it was inside the casino to hunt down some food and spend a little money on gambling!

Viva Las Vegas!!!

 Today we were up soo early but for a good reason - Sunny Las Vegas was calling our name!!!  After a couple of flights we were there by mid-morning - just in time to celebrate Christopher's birthday and have a great dinner at a casino and the best birthday BUNDT cake ever!!

Happy Birthday Baby Brother...  

Christopher Daryl it is hard to believe that you are 27 today!  I remember you as the most annoying little brother in the world - which you still are!! BUT you have also evolved into a great husband, father, uncle and Air Traffic Controller (I'm still better!!)  So glad we will be there to celebrate with you!!  
Happy Birthday Little Brother - I LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!!  I don't have a ton of time because we are doing last minute things to prepare for our VERY early flight to Las Vegas but I am going to post some pictures of the girls Easter!!!

Hair Hair Everywhere...

Sydney has the most amazing head of hair and it gets admiration and compliments everywhere we go but dealing with that tangly mess was a pain - so today I made a decision to do something about that!!  Sydney got about 5 inches cut from her hair this afternoon and I was SCARED to death that it wasn't going to look right or that it would be to short to put up while playing outside!  Man was I wrong...Best thing I have done lately!!!!
She looks so grown up and I think her hair will so much more manageable at this length!!  Judge for yourself - Looks great right??

Like a whole new Sydney - and she knows it!  She has been walking around flipping her hair here and there with as much attitude a 4 yr. old can have (which for Sydney is a TON!!!) Oh and just so you know her teeth aren't yellow although they look it - she has yellow gum stretched over her teeth!

It was the girls Easter Party at school today and they were so excited!! So with buckets full of stuffed eggs for hiding, a huge bag of M&M's and some Peeps they were off to school!!
Here they are before we left - I would have taken a picture after the party but it was nothing but tears as they came spiraling down from their sugar high!!

Warriors in Pink...

Today was a HUGE milestone in my life!!  I ran my very first 5k (which is 3.1 miles)  and it was for an AMAZING cause!!  It was the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!  
As I mentioned a few months back Dawn and I started running as a New Years resolution.  At that point I HATED running it was evil - little did I know that 4 months later it would be a passion of mine.  I love the way I feel after a good run and the fact that it has helped me lose around 12 - 15lbs already makes it extra AWESOME!!!
Anyway we saw this opportunity and registered with a goal - to run without stopping in our first 5k!!  Daniel joined us for the run and not only did we not stop at all we finished in 30 minutes!! I was shocked and so proud of all of us!!  I can promise you this won't be the last race that we do.

My amazing friend and neighbor Andrea made Dawn and I both a big pink ribbon for encouragement!  Wish she could have been with us but she was doing a Ironman in New Orleans this weekend and she rocked it!!!  Thanks Andrea I'm saving it...

Amazing...  

Dawn received an amazing camera for her birthday and thankfully she loves taking pics with it! She has snapped quite a few pics of the girls that make my heart melt when  I look at them - they are really great from the color down to the faces she was able to capture!!  Here are a few that I love...
