We have been pretty busy!!!  So this post will be a collection of pics!!!

Alisia and Kale arrived Tuesday morning and it was AMAZING to finally meet the sweetest little guy ever!!!

Went to the Pumpkin Patch that evening...

Sydney wasn't so sure about the Hay slide but Casey couldn't get enough!!!

I couldn't get enough snuggle time with this little guy ever!!

Sydney was done at this point!!!

Sydney and Kale - How Stinkin' Sweet???

Christopher got in at like 4am Wednesday so after a morning of rest and "relaxation" (as much as you can with kiddos running around!) we headed to downtown Salt Lake on the train!!!
Strike a pose!

A super happy Casey with her Grandma...

The splash park downtown - Sydney was so disappointed that it was too cold!!!
We are having a great time and don't want it to end!!!

Vacation Day 1...

Monday, October 27, 2008

Today was quite a busy day...

The girls found all the BEAUTIFUL fall leaves in Grandma's backyard and spent most the morning outside playing...
Yes Casey is still in her PJ's no time to change clothes when there are leaves to
play with...

After we got ready we thought we might try a family picture - who would have thought it would be difficult.  Here are all of our attempts!!!
Only Daniel was focused this time around...

Then Sydney thought it would be fun to throw leaves!

Can you see that I have given up at this point???

We did a couple of cute ones...

Then we took a drive up into the mountains to see the amazing fall colors and let Sydney see some real Mountains and it was great!!!  For some reason i didn't get any pictures of the colors but I did get these pictures and I thought they were amazing...

After this we dropped off Daniel and a very sleepy Casey and went to get Sydney's haircut!  Yes Sydney officially received her first haircut - about 3 or 4 inches!!!  Before we even got to the salon we saw a field of Pumpkins that it looked like they were plowing to start a housing development so we jumped out and Sydney and Grandma got quite a few pumpkins.

Sydney with her all HER pumpkins!!!

And then it was time for the haircut...

She did a great job (even though she looks scared to death)!!  Sydney even made us laugh - The woman asked her "How are we gonna cut your hair today?"
Sydney replied, "Ummm, with scissors!!!"
We laughed so hard because obviously she was asking what style she wanted but to Sydney there was only one answer for that question!!!

Needless to say we had a great day and the girls were exhausted!!!  Tomorrow Kale and Alisia get here and we are going to the pumpkin patch!!

We Made It...

To Salt Lake City that is...

The trip was uneventful which is how we hoped it would be...

This was Casey's first flight and she was amazing.

The flight to Denver lasted about 15 minutes longer than the kids wanted it to but they were still pretty good - after a few hushed threats of no treats and some orange soda - we landed without a major meltdown...

This is what Sydney looks like after a bottle of orange soda and fruit snacks!!  Sugar Drunk!!

After some "getting to know" time for Casey she is now all about her grandparents and is having a ball with them and her big sister!!!

Then it was time for bed in some nice warm "Utah" pj's!!  Can't wear these comfy things in Texas!!!

Some may call it work...

I have to get up REALLY early some mornings for work but look what I get to look at...

A Crisp fall morning and a beautiful south Texas sunrise!!!

I should be thankful that I have the best "office" on the base maybe even in the city!!!

St0p...

Monday, October 20, 2008

I just wanted everyone to know that for my entire life and probably all of yours also we have been wrong!  What I have always thought were STOP signs I learned tonight aren't that at all they are st0p.  Yes according to Sydney they are indeed S-T- Zero-P signs!

At least she is trying to spell and read!!!

Can You Say Mortified?

While in line today at Target I had already noticed a VERY pregnant woman standing behind us and instantly felt sympathy.  Apparently Sydney noticed also...

"OOOHHH mommy look she has a baby in her belly."

" I know cool huh?" And exchanged a smile with the woman.

Then before I could anticipate what she was going to say Sydney said, "Mommy it looks her baby is ready to come out RIGHT NOW!!"

With so much emphasis on "right now" it made the lady behind the register suppress a laugh and made the preggo lady give Sydney a look of shock.  I felt so bad for her because amazingly enough Sydney was so right she looked like she was about 14mths pregnant but having been there twice I knew it was the last thing she wanted to hear.  Anyway I apologized and she understood and also confirmed that she was overdue and READY for the baby to come out right now.  The entire ride home Sydney and I discussed things that we don't say to people cause it might hurt their feelings.  Then I called Daniel and we laughed about it - because it is so true - Kids say the craziest things!!

This picture speaks volumes...

Funniest part - Sydney looked in the mirror spelled "D-O-R-K" and laughed at me because she said I spelled her name wrong! HEHEHE The Joys of Motherhood!

WEEEEE......

Sydney got a rocking horse from her Uncle Chris and Aunt Alisia on her 1st bday!!  Thankfully so because it is Casey's favorite thing to do when she invades Sydney's room!!!  If we let her she'd drag it all over the house...

Who knew that a gift for one would make both of them so happy!!!!

Such a happy little girl!!

My new favorite place...

I don't know if any of you have ever been to Ikea but that is the coolest store I have ever been in!! Last weekend on the way home from the game we stopped at one about an hour north of San Antonio to see what it is all about and I was so shocked!!

I did not expect it to be so huge and so full of everything I have ever wanted (not really but it seemed like it).  I found stuff in there I didn't even know we needed but could not live without!!!

So just so you know if you come to visit the Cobbs we are going shopping at Ikea...

Here are a couple of the things we picked up while we were there...

A coloring table and stools for the girls!!! Super cute huh?

A chocolate brown Roman Shade that I looked all over for but couldn't find for under $100 or more - paid $40.00 at Ikea.  I know AMAZING!!!

Sometimes it hurts...

No denying my undying faithfulness to the Sooner football team - Yes it's true I love the Sooners like they are a part of my family!!  Most of you will laugh at this but it is about putting your hopes and dreams into a group of young kids with talent and going for it!!

Today didn't go so well we lost the biggest rivalry game we play every season and to make matters worse it is to the Longhorns!!!  It was close game until the very end but they got the momentum and they pulled it out 45-35.  But let's not forget the Sooners are an amazing team or they wouldn't have been ranked #1 coming into this game!!  I'm not a good enough person to give the Longhorns credit because in my opinion we let them have the game.  It was ours to lose and that is what we did!!

All I know is that we have to keep our heads high and get ready for next week!!  The season is never over until the last game is played and we are a long way from that last game!!  Now we have to prove to the nation that we are a top contender and that #1 wasn't a fluke ranking like they think right now!!!  Good luck to whoever moves into the #1 spot - it is a curse and it's only time until you lose - ask OU, USC and Georgia!!!

Alright time to go and face the stinkin' Longhorn fans around here!!  I hate south Texas!!!

How Stinkin' Cute Is This???

Thursday, October 9, 2008

Okay I just had to share because I seriously think he is the cutest little guy!!

Kale Bryce 4 months old...

"Oh mommy that is so sad..."

Sunday, October 5, 2008

A conversation between Sydney and I this evening...
"Mommy do you remember that word?"

"What word Sydney - there are tons of words to remember?" (yes I was slighty cranky at this point! This was her 14th trip out of bed to ask random questions!!!

"That word that I said earlier that means BIG PROBLEM!".

"Ooh that word - I don't remember Syd.". (of course I knew what word it was but if I told her there would have been about 20 questions to follow -Don't judge me!!!)

At this point Sydney came over and so gently put her hand on my arm and said,
"Oh mommy that is so sad, you lost your member!" and just turned and walked straight to her room!

How funny is that?
FYI - she was talking about the word calamity! Yes my 4yr old learned calamity from a cartoon this morning and all day walked around saying "mom calamity - Casey is in my room" or other things that would qualify as a big problem to a 4yr old!

BOOMER SOONER!!!

So as you all know - We are Sooner fans!! Yesterday Daniel and I made the trip up the road a couple hours to Waco to watch OU beat up on Baylor. The trip up was excellent - very quick and we saw a ton of other Sooner faithful on their way.  Baylor (which has a beautiful campus) was running a free shuttle over to the game. So of course we took advantage rather than pay and fight the traffic - we parked at their baseball stadium.  Not 5 minutes after getting out of the truck I got stung by a bee!! I am still shocked - I made it almost 29 years without a bee sting and for no reason at all a bee stung me on my toe 1 hour before kickoff. Of course I was concerend that I was going to be allergic and miss the entire game but I was fine.  I played it up for as long as I could though - which was only 3 minutes before Daniel gave me the get over it look.

We got to the stadium and there were tailgaters everywhere and it was just an amazing atmosphere (I guess you have to like football though!)

This is what we saw as we walked into the stadium... The Sooners running some drills..

After watching for a few minutes we made our way to our seats and got ready for some football.  The team was doing their warm-ups and our seats were so great we could see everything!!

The Sooners dominated from the very beginning and it looked like a how to video - like how to embarrass the other team!!!  It was a great time and we can't wait for the next chance we get to make it to a game!!!  But next time we will bring sunscreen - a lot of sunscreen - we are both so burnt it isn't even funny!!  I look like I'm on fire and there is no exaggeration there.
Here are a few more pictures from the game...

The National Anthem before kick-off !!

Coach Bob Stoops watching his efforts as coach pay-off for yet another season!!

I told you our seats were great - we saw everything!!

End of the game - Thanks for the practice Baylor!

Final score - OU 49 Baylor 17!!!

"I'm way too sweet..."

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

We were walking around Wal-Mart the other day - like we do so often - and Sydney found some Halloween headbands.  She tried on the kitty ears and another one that had a bow on it but in the very back I spotted little red horns...

I handed them to Sydney and said try these on and she almost had them on her head when it hit her...
"Mom these are little horns - Devil horns!"
I told her I understood that but that I wanted to see if they looked right on her...
"No way mom I'm way too sweet to do that - they belong to Casey"
I looked at Casey who at the time was trying to pry open a Cheerio box and although at that moment I didn't disagree I told Sydney to just put them on and she did but the look on her face would lead you to believe that I had just kicked her in the shin. Of course I took out my phone and sweetly asked Sydney to look at mommy so I can show everyone how horrible those horns looked on her sweet little head. There was hesitation but finally with a very heavy sigh this is what I got!

Doesn't she look so sweet - like those horns were horribly misplaced!! After the photo was snapped the horns were taken off and she said
"Mommy I never want to have horns again."
Then five minutes later she was stealing Casey's pacifier, GO FIGURE!!!

Kale Bryce...

I was going through my phone today and I found two of my favorite photos - and I know you will all be shocked to find out that they aren't of my girls. They are of my amazing nephew Kale Bryce Casey!!!!

This is his "Pimpin" Picture...

What a cutie huh?

Kale will already be 4 months old this Saturday and he is getting bigger everyday.  He rolls over already and he "talks" up a storm.  I have never been able to see Kale in person and for that I am truly sad.  The sadness is coming to an end though - in less than a month we are all making the trip to Salt Lake City to the grandparents house and they are going to have to wrestle that little man away from me.  I can't wait to  see my little brother take care of his child and watch Alisia cuddle with her little boy like only a mother can!!  I can't wait to feed him and just hold such a little person again especially because he is part of something bigger and that is our family - whether he likes it or not!!!  We all love you Kale (and of course Alisia and Christopher) and we can't wait to give you all kinds of loving...
