I bet you all thought I had disappeared forever huh?  Well by popular demand I have returned!!  Tomorrow after I take pictures I am going to post about our home improvement projects that have kept us CRAZY busy for the last few weeks, updates about the girls and just life in general!  So please check back and don't worry it seems like life might be slowing down A LITTE bit which means my posting will pick up more...

(or chocolate milk) will keep the doctor away.  At least this rings true for Sydney.  Today Daniel took Sydney in for her 5 year check up.  The Doctor said she is VERY healthy and right on track.  She weighed in at 47lbs and is 3 ft 9 inches tall!  That is a 3 inch gain in height and a 5lb weight gain since last July.  Sydney is beyond ready to start school in just over a month... Now just for me to get ready!  

Sydney we love watching you meet all these new milestones BUT please stop growing up so fast!!

3 Years!!!  

Three years ago today we were SOOO happy to welcome Alisia into our family!  You guys are such and amazing couple and I love you both SO very much!  

The past three years have brought you guys a move to Las Vegas, a new job for Christopher, the SWEETEST little boy ever, separation from the Air Force for Alisia, then she graduated from college and became board certified!  WOW!!  Although the future is still a mystery  - you both deserve nothing but the best and will get it!! 

I can't wait until you hit 5  and we are hitting 10 we need to take a cruise together!!

 Happy Anniversary to my brother and sister!   I hope it was GREAT!!!!

Birthday Weekend...

This weekend was JAM packed!!  Saturday we awoke bright and early and had Dawn

do our family photo's!  They turned out great and can't thank Dawn enough!

Then it was time for Sydney's "kid" party at an Art Studio!  About 14 kids showed up and they had a BLAST!!!  

That night we went to dinner at Chuy's and chowed on some yummy Mexican food and Sydney got some birthday Soapapillas - SOOO GOOOD!!!!

Sunday it all started with gifts and chocolate chip pancakes!  Then we had all the neighbors over and had TONS of pizza, more cake a pinata and MORE presents!!!  

Overall it was a GREAT weekend and we are so thankful we got to celebrate Sydney's 5th with all her friends and ours!  Thanks to everyone!

IS ON THE POTTY!!

Yup - Casey set her mind to potty training and it is going SOOO well!!  I'm thinking by the time Sydney starts school we may not have any diapers in the house!!  I mentioned this to Daniel and suggested that meant it was time for a little brother and he scoffed at me.  It was worth the look on his face though...

Special Visitor...  

Peyton came into town last Sunday and we had an amazing visit with her.  She changes SOO much everytime we see her it is crazy!  She is on the verge of "teenhood" and it shows.  Anything and everything Twilight is her thing.  She has read all the books twice and knows EVERY bit of trivia that is associated.  She is a self-proclaimed punk girl and won't wear dresses/skirts anymore which was so weird.  She is SOO smart, well behaved and so in love with her little sisters (even though they don't give her much room to breathe).  

While she was here we went to Ice Age 3D, watched Twilight twice (yes I loved it too),  pulled out a tooth (Peyton's), spent quality time together, went downtown for dinner at Rainforest Cafe, and had Sydney's birthday!  We miss her already and we hope she had fun and we hope she can come back for Thanksgiving!

4th of July...

So we left the lake this morning but not before getting some pictures of the kiddos in their July 4th outfits...

July 2009...

Then it was over to the Fire Department to drop off an all American treat - Apple Pie for the guys to eat!!  And of course ANOTHER opportunity for me to take pics of the girls...  Sorry but I can't help it they are always cute and I'm NOT taking pictures of myself!

Then we went next door to the Braun house to eat and watch some fireworks.  All was going great until Sydney fell and - no of course she did not skin her knees - she totally face planted.  There was some blood and a HUGE fat lip but my concern was (and still is) the fact that now her top left front tooth is pretty loose.  I WILL be calling the dentist but I'm sure she'll be okay since the dentist recently told me that her adult teeth were in place to move in as soon as her baby teeth fell out.

This made me hyperventilate and Daniel wasn't there to handle it...

Then after all that excitement died down we watched a great fireworks show right from their back porch.  It was SO nice to see everything but to not have to fight crowds and all the traffic.

One more BIG thing happened last night...

Sydney had her first SLEEPOVER with Adelaide.  She was so excited and I almost cried!  I was heartbroken that my BABY (even if she will be 5 in a few days) is old enough to sleep at her friends house without her mommy!  Daniel had to call me and talk me through this milestone.  

In the end I'm so glad that she has such a good friend RIGHT next door and I'm sure there will be MANY more sleepovers in their future.

Lovin' the Lake...

Since Daniel was only home ONE day this whole Holiday weekend we decided to go to the lake and spend some family time together...  

We had a great time hanging out with our friends Andrea, Matt and their son Noah at their lake house in Horseshoe Bay.  It is about an hour and a half away and it is what Daniel and I would call paradise.  Seriously Daniel has already been shopping for property in the area - in his dreams!  So with about an hour long application of SPF 70 to all of us we headed out and had the best day in the water!!

Master closet...

To say that the master closet was what sold us on this house would be a total lie - We hated it.  It always looked crowded and there was SO much wasted space.  We recently decided to have a professional come look at it and he wowed us with a great design and we did it.  My newest love is my custom closet!!

I totally forgot to take before pictures but just picture a mess with shoes everywhere and very little organization and you'll get it!

More kitchen updates...

After the paint we added to the kitchen we thought there was only one thing missing... Knobs on our cabinets.  They looked naked and we had been trying to find them decoration since we moved in but could never find the one that was just right.  We finally found them!!!  I think that we made the right choice and NOW the kitchen feels complete or at least it does until I find curtains for the windows - hahahaha!
